the body electric

By Bastian Groiss

Robert O. Becker published this groundbreaking book in 1985. As an orthopedic surgeon working mainly as a professor at Upstate Medical Center at the State University of New York, his passion was bioelectricity-the relationship between electrical currents and living things. His research on limb regeneration and stimulating bone healing using electrical stimulation is covered in this book. The last part of the book is focused on how natural and man-made EMFs affect the human body. He was way ahead of his time and elaborated with surprising clarity on the dangers of exposure to electromagnetic fields. He blamed the public’s ignorance of the risks of EMFs fairly and squarely at the foot of the door of vested interests.
