water guide

By Carrie Bennett

Without water, there would be no life. Every living thing is full of water, and water is the majority of what makes us up.  Take humans, for example. We are 65-70% water by volume.  But by molecular count, we are 99% water. Said another way, if we were to line up all the molecules in our body side by side, 99 out of every 100 of them would be H2O (water).

I do not believe that this happened by chance, but unfortunately, most research into understanding human physiology took deep dives into all the molecules, proteins, hormones, genes, and receptors of the body but completely disregarded water. We now know, thanks to the pioneering research of many scientists, that water actually plays a foundational role in the body for energy, hormones/receptors, driving blood and lymphatic flow, as an antenna for the vibrational information of our interior and exterior environments and even as a storehouse of our memories.

“Water is life’s matter and matrix, mother and medium. There is no life without water.”

– Albert Szent-Gyorgyi

To understand this, we must first know that the water we drink as a liquid in a glass differs from most water inside the body. We will first dive deep into how to hydrate our bodies by drinking pure, structured water. Then we will go into more detail about the water inside our bodies and its amazing properties that support our health. By the end, we look at true hydration and practical takeaways to optimize the water you drink and make inside your body.

Drinking water

When most of us think about water, we picture liquid water in a glass. Maybe some of us also picture a lake or ocean. Maybe even raindrops or dew. If I were to ask you the chemical formula for water, you would undoubtedly say “H2O.”

Up until 10 years ago, my only appreciation for water was its ability to keep me hydrated. After all, during my 20 years as a personal trainer, massage therapist, and clinical nutritionist, I always reminded my clients to “drink half your body weight in ounces of water per day,” “make sure you are peeing clear to light yellow,” and “get those eight glasses of water in every day!”

I’m sure you have heard one or all of these recommendations, which were meant to remind us that being hydrated is vital for our health. After all, we are 70% water. Several symptoms and even diagnosed diseases have been linked to mild or moderate dehydration, including:

Headache, mental fatigue, muscular fatigue/reduced muscular performance, dizziness, low blood pressure, autoimmune conditions, pain (acute and chronic), histamine intolerance, and more.

Is drinking more water the only important part of alleviating dehydration? I would argue no. Hydration involves much more than simply drinking enough water. However, consuming water is certainly part of the equation, so let’s examine that first.

When it comes to drinking water, the quality of water matters.

These days, municipal tap water is contaminated with several questionable substances, including PFAS, glyphosate, fluoride, chlorine, chloramine, endocrine disruptors, and persistent organic pollutants.

If tap water is full of potential toxins, then drinking more tap water may be more harmful than helpful. So what are we to do?

The body was meant to absorb water as it is found in its natural state. According to Viktor Schauberger, an Austrian naturalist who made it his life’s passion to observe water patterns in nature, water is meant to flow naturally, and as it does, it forms vortexes as it passes over rocks and such as it moves along a stream or flows from a natural spring.

viktor schauberger

The vortexing movement of the water in nature has been shown to not only keep the water at a cooler temperature (as movement/friction of water against rocks should ultimately heat the water up), but it has also been shown that the vortexing motion imparts additional energy and structure into the water – a vital essence if you will.

We must look into unknown dimensions, into Nature, into that incalculable and imponderable life, whose carrier and mediator, the blood of the Earth that accompanies us steadfastly from the cradle to the grave, is water.

– Viktor Schauberger

Ideally, we would all have access to a natural mineral spring or glacial melt runoff. We would bottle this water in glass and carry enough home weekly to consume it as part of our hydration strategy.

This type of water is ideal since it has moved in a vortex as it traveled and, along the way, picked up naturally occurring minerals from rocks, sand, and other natural mineral-rich substances in its path.

We know that minerals are important in our body’s ability to absorb water in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Minerals are also essential in our body’s ability to stay hydrated at the cellular level since certain minerals, especially potassium, help keep cells hydrated on the inside where the magic happens.

Unfortunately, very few of us have access to natural spring water these days. My suggestion for tap water is to filter it with reverse osmosis or a water distiller, then remineralize it and structure it. A reverse osmosis system or water distiller will eliminate toxins, but it also takes with it the beneficial minerals. Thus, adding minerals after you have filtered it gives the water back what is needed for proper absorption.

Several options for remineralizing exist, including Himalayan or Celtic sea salt, Quinton minerals, and fulvic/humic acid. The key is to get something with a complete blend of trace minerals. Quinton is my favorite, as it is basically purified seawater containing all the trace minerals in the ratio that nature has perfected for billions of years.

Other things can be done to improve water’s structure, energetic quality, and absorbability. For example, the Mayu water vortexer and the Analemma Wand are two devices that can restore a healthy, vibrant, and coherent structure to the water molecules. In other words, they can improve and organize the bonding between the water molecules themselves, allowing for the health-promoting effects of drinking structured water, such as improved HRV and even blood glucose parameters.

How water can bond with other water molecules to form unique geometries leads to the fascinating subject of water memory. Nobel Laureate Luc Montagnier received his Nobel Prize for discovering HIV. However, I am much more fascinated by the line of research he dove into after receiving the Nobel Prize. He found that the unique energetic frequencies of bacteria, viruses, and even DNA can be imprinted into water to the extent that when the bacteria, viruses, or DNA are no longer detectable in the water, their energetic frequencies still are.

In other words, every substance on the planet has a resonant frequency (signature vibration), which the water molecules can “store” by arranging their bonds and clusters into specific geometries. Another key example of this is the 200 years of homeopathic success.  What takes Montagnier’s work to the next level is the research done on the water imprinted with the DNA frequencies.  The imprinted water that holds the vibrational information of an original strand of DNA was actually shown to be able to reassemble that exact sequence of DNA when the water was combined with the raw materials required for DNA synthesis. In this sense, water can hold a memory in the form of electromagnetic frequencies.

Structured water

You may recall from grade school science class that water supposedly exists in three phases: solid, liquid, and gas. However, newer research has found that water also exists in a fourth phase called exclusion zone water (EZ water). This phase is structured like ice but still a liquid—I call it a liquid crystal. I will direct this conversation to the EZ water that exists in our bodies, but EZ has also been found in plants, clouds, dew drops, and more.

EZ water forms its fourth phase whenever it comes into contact with a “hydrophilic” or “water-loving” surface.  It turns out that almost every protein, molecule, and organelle in a cell has a hydrophilic surface. This means that EZ water spontaneously forms around everything in a packed cell.

EZ water is essential to healthy cell function. It provides the cell with its optimum negative charge, helps hold cellular proteins in their extended shape for optimum protein-protein interactions, and even serves as a body-wide communication network.

As mentioned, EZ water stands for “exclusion zone” water. It is called an exclusion zone because it literally excludes or blocks anything bigger than an electron.

EZ water is a bit different than H2O. Its chemical formula is actually H3O2. This is because to form the EZ, the -OH part of H2O (H-O-H) links together to form a honeycomb-like lattice. Most interestingly, if you stick a microelectrode into this EZ water, you find it has a negative charge (unlike liquid water in a glass which is neutral). In addition to this, directly adjacent to the negatively charged EZ water lattice is a concentrated area of protons (H+).

Dr. Pollack’s lab found that when you place a microelectrode into the negatively charged EZ and another electrode into the positively charged proton zone and attach a lightbulb, the lightbulb lights up! This means that electricity can be derived via the charge separation of water. This is a paradigm-shifting understanding of the human body and its electric nature.

One of the ways we can maintain this “water battery” is by staying hydrated through the water we drink. However, other ways include tending to our mitochondrial health (they make water inside of our cells) and also by regularly exposing the body to infrared light/heat. Dr Pollack’s lab found that infrared exposure caused the exclusion zone to expand. In other words, we can charge our water batteries by exposing them to infrared light/heat via things like sunlight and sauna. And if we can maintain this healthy battery, we can thrive!

What is true hydration?

The water your mitochondria make is how you achieve true hydration. Remember, when water in the body is next to a biological surface, it structures itself into its fourth phase.

EZ water provides:

  • a battery of potential energy for every cell
  • a way for the cell to maintain a negative charge
  • the support for proteins to maintain optimum shape
  • an antenna to receive EMF information both inside and outside the body
  • a conduit through which subatomic information can flow
  • an excited state for electron tunneling

Yes, we must consume high-quality drinking water. However, we also need to optimize the production of water made by our mitochondria.

Most municipal water is polluted with things like heavy metals, fluoride, glyphosate, etc. These chemicals destroy EZ water and disrupt all the things listed above.

Our mitochondria make pure, deuterium-depleted water at step 4 (cytochrome C oxidase) of the electron-transport chain. They structure it into EZ water with the help of infrared light they also produce.

To do this well, they need adequate electrons, red light photons, and oxygen. This means that mitochondria work best at making water when we are barefoot, under natural light, and breathing calmly through the nose. Other things that benefit mitochondrial health, like intermittent fasting, exercise, cold thermogenesis, and ketosis, also enhance EZ water production.

So true hydration means taking good care of our mitochondria.

Practical takeaways

1. High-quality water

Drink toxin-free water as close to its natural state as possible, such as glacial runoff or spring water. If you use rainwater, filter it and ideally restructure and remineralize it. For tap water, use a reverse osmosis (RO) system and restructure and remineralize it.

2. Sunlight Exposure

Allow sunlight to touch your skin frequently, as it stimulates the formation of EZ water.

3. Heat-Generating Exercise

Engage in physical activities that generate heat within the body, promoting EZ water production.

4. Sauna with low EMF

Sauna sessions with low electromagnetic fields (see SaunaSpace) can support EZ water formation.

5. Grounding

Connect with the Earth’s surface to enhance the presence of EZ water in your body. Consider getting some grounded footwear (see Earth Runners, Groundz).

6. IR/Red Light Panels

Utilize infrared and red light panels (see Biolight, EMR-Tek) to stimulate EZ water production.

7. Fulvic Acid, Humic Acid, Minerals

Incorporate substances like fulvic acid, humic acid, and Quinton minerals, which are known to promote EZ water formation.

8. Consume Healthy Fats

Include healthy fats like butter, ghee, and coconut in your diet, which can support EZ water production.

9. Minimize nnEMF Exposure

Reduce your exposure to non-native electromagnetic fields (nnEMFs) to preserve EZ water’s integrity. nnEMFs, such as WiFi and cell phone radiation, dehydrate you by harming the mitochondria and depleting the body of EZ water.

10. Regular Movement Breaks

To encourage EZ water formation, take regular movement and light breaks throughout the day. Movement hydrates the connective tissue and pushes hydration throughout the body. You can use the Circadian app to set regular “light/movement breaks”.

11. Avoid Glyphosate and Fluoride

Minimize exposure to glyphosate and fluoride, as they can hinder EZ water formation.

What’s the deal with fluoride? When looking at cellular hydration, I am apt to side with fluoride being bad. Yes, it may calcify the pineal gland, but in terms of water, fluoride lowers the dielectric constant of water, meaning it lowers the electrical storage potential of the water. When you begin to understand how water acts as a battery of potential energy in our cells, it will become obvious why this is an issue.

12. Embrace Cold Plunges

Engage in cold plunges or cold thermogenesis, as it supports EZ water formation and overall cellular health.

body electric
Our body is voltage, and a negative charge equals health. Our cells only function well when they have a negative charge. This is because they are charged full of electrons. Sometimes, this is described as pH (alkaline or 7.35). These all state the same fact: our cells require a negative charge to thrive. This negative […]
